I woke with a migraine, not a great start to the day, Nige and I were getting up and ready when a knock at the door revealed seven border officials. We spent much of the morning with them, they checked out our details and later we were told we could go about our business again. I went for a birding walk in the evening sun and watched Pectoral Sandpipers just feet from me in the grassy marsh and took a few pictures. We see at least one a year at Slimbridge, to see them displaying is awesome. A party of 7 Pacific Golden Plover flew north as we headed back in.
Only highlight was seeing the displaying Pectoral Sandpipers.
