Another two broods more outside 18 July 2011

We finished building two more coops, this makes four outside, we set them up with tundra and moved another two groups of chicks out into the sun.  Lots of final touches to the aviary, got the electric fence going.  Nige and Liz spent time cleaning the feet of the oldest chicks. Liz has been back and forth all day but still looking after the house chicks. Sadly despite the long battle to get it feeding, the small runty bird that refused to eat died. It was another long day, the sunset was awesome, I was alone with the birds during it, Nige returned, we fussed over details and were very pleased to be leaving with everything largely in place. It was off to bed at 0100 for me leaving Nige at the tent where he was staying for the last night.
