Great summary, Baz. And good to see the help that individuals at BA gave being acknowledged again. Really was ‘above and beyond’ and must have helped ease a headache or two. Good luck in overwintering the birds and getting the older ones up to breeding condition. You’ve all given them such a great start. All the best. Ken

    Dear Baz
What a wonderfully written report and this year’s expedition was obviously as exciting though less traumatic from the angle of losing chicks. Hoorah for British Airways and lovely Captain Woodham. I am so glad you were able to reward him with the sight of a real live chick. I cannot believe how well you guys have all done this year, but the brinkmanship of only 6 hours grace between arriving in Slimbridge and the first hatching is miraculous. Have some of you guys got a few more grey hairs as a result? NOW I really know that what I am trying to do to help raise funds and awareness for all the different arms of the project is REALLY worthwhile. Regards Helena

Thanks for your ongoing support you guys. I certainly have got more grey hair than two years ago, but think this is mainly cos I’m getting old 😉
