This is the e-mail from Ayuwat I awoke to yesterday (Friday 15 Nov).
“Attached here are photos of EH taken yesterday at Pak Thale. The bird was seen foraging with other small waders from around 9.00 until 10.00 then it went to sleep until 12.00 when I left.
Please feel free to use these photos on your social media, blogs, newsletters, etc.”
And here are his marvellous photos 🙂

These photos are exquisite! So that looooong antenna doesn’t bug the little guys? Thank you so much for the amazing work and updates!
Before we considered putting a tag on an SBS we put some dummy tags on some captive bred dunlin (tag scaled up for the size difference). We were amazed at how little notice they took of them and you could only tell which ones had tags by seeing the tag! Birds in the field also seem to ignore the tag and the antenna. The antenna is incredibly light and of course the tag will fall off in the next couple of months. We have seen many of the birds that we have tagged in the years after the tag has fallen off and there is no sign of any ill effects.
